Fat Burning Energy Shake That Will Have You Dancing Like Mick Jagger
Today I wanted to share with you my favorite fat burning shake that I actually enjoy most days after my morning workout. This shake is a recipe that we include in all our programs as it not only helps your body burn fat, but it also helps to build muscle, increase productivity and increase focus.
A shake is an easy way to start the day and as long as you add the right ingredients it will keep you going all the way until lunch.
Also a note on organic. All the ingredients I use in the video above are organic and I encourage you to buy organic where possible. If you are consistently consuming foods that are not organic even if they are healthy for you such as kale or spinach, then the pesticides used on these plants will start to bio accumulate in your body and the toxins then start to affect your cells. So where possible use all organic ingredients!
So what do we add into this shake?
- A base of almond milk, coconut water, coconut milk or you can just use water
- 1 cup of frozen blueberries
- 1 handful of greens
- 1 small spoon of stevia (The brand I use in the video is Cow and I find that this brand tastes great, not too bitter like some stevia)
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric - excellent for blood & immune system
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon - amazing detoxifier & good for your blood
- 1 teaspoon maca powder - which is full of amino acids & is great for your health, energy levels & balancing hormones
- 2 tablespoons raw cacao nibs - another superfood thats great for energy & full of antioxidants
- 1 tablespoon flax seed - great source of health fats
- 1 tablespoon of chia seeds - little super seed full of nutrients & healthy fats
- 1 tablespoon of hemp seeds - high in protein & healthy fats
Mix together in a high speed blender & enjoy!
